Aaron:
debugfs should give you low level access to SPI (if you really need it). However -- we try to make sure that we have drivers that should work without poking at low level registers for the common use cases.
If you can describe what you are trying to do in the Linux forums - we might be able to either help out, or get you pointed in the right direction.
