Re: No HDMI display when SD booting ZC706+ FMCOMMS5

Sorry all,

There is still the problem.

Just now, I copied "uramdisk.image.gz"  from the subdirectory "Card-Filesystem-Repair" to root directory and rebooted the board. HDMI display was indeed on after the procedure checked file: /zynq-zc706-adv7511 around (as shown below).

However, after the system finished checking everything, "uramdisk.image.gz" was automatically changed to "_uramdisk.image.gz". When I rebooted the system, the problem was still there.

Please anybody to help!!

Thanks.

Hi,

The commands can't be called from XSDB Console - they should be called from a serial console that is connected to the board.

In ADV7842 reference design i found power tree as follows  for V3P3_7842 rail,
Inline image 1
But the regulator supports upto 300mA only and current consumption is more than 300mA in V3P3_7842 rail. Pls help me to get it clarified.

Hi,

No need to change the condition they are both identical in terms of when they evaluate to true (strictly speaking it is m_axi_valid == 1'b1 && s_axi_ready == 1'b1). All you have to do is to hook up the sot signal in src_fifo_inf.v and the top-level modules.

RSchnell
I think I've found why the IC breaks, the reason is when I increase the Bus voltage on N-Mos drain, the shape of the Input PWM to Vi + pin completely starts to change and If I continue increasing the bus voltage the ADU brakes, so What do you think about the reason of this phenomena?

On above the orange signal is the PWM signal to Vi+ from microcontroller after increasing the bus voltage for 1.5 Volt, and the Green one is the shape of the ADU output to the N-Mos.

Thanks for your cooperation

Hello Coney:

                    I have read your problem.

                    you condition :

                  f_ref = 140MHz,   R_div = 2,     f_pfd = 70MHz,       Icp = 0.9mA

Wouldb you change the Icp? In my opinion  2.54mA will fit output(above 3G@HMC833).

If  you want a single frequency ,Try to change sigma-Delta modulator.

Or change f_ref. ADIsimFrequencyPlanner  is a good tool.

Re: LDO Charger

Hello,

Thank you for your question. The AD8450 is a controller for a charger but doesn't charge batteries directly, rather it is the precision analog front end designed for battery manufacturing systems that form batteries. The switching functions follow the AD8450, and include a PWM, level shifter, CMOS bridge or half-bridge, etc. I've included a data sheet for the AD8450 showing a system block diagram, just go to fig. 59 on page 30 for an overview of a typical AD8450 connected in a typical battery charging/forming channel.

If you have such applications in mind I can forward you to someone who supports the applications end of this type of business.

Questions about chip AD5750-2BCPZ

I am working for FPGA project using chip AD5750-2BCPZ recently,and face with some trouble:

(1)According to the data sheet, pins( VSENSE+ and VSENSE- ) are used to protect the device, will they protect the load or just protect the chip AD5750-2BCPZ?

(2)According to the data sheetpins( VSENSE+ and VSENSE- ) also have detection function. My question is, should we input voltage from VSENSE and get the output signal from VOUT? If I want to verify the correctness of the transform from  digital signal to analog signal, can I use VSENSE to do that?

Thank you for answering my question!

FilterTableGen Coefficient Calculation?

$

0

I am attempting to create my own filter coefficient generator in c and ran into an issue. I am using the formulas from the help  documentation, which I have also confirmed elsewhere on the internet.

An example is the bandpass filter with equations shown here:bandpass formula

The result of the FilterTableGen, which also matches up what ends up in the compiled ram is shown here:

filtergen result

When you actually follow the formulas the A coefficients are the opposite sign of what they show in FilterTableGen and the RAM. a1 is shown as 1.99298 when the calculation gives -1.99298.

w0 = 2*pi*(f/Fs) which at 150 Hz and 96000 Hz sample rate, so w0 = 0.00981. and -2*cos(w0) then comes out to -1.99298, not 1.99298.  This is the same for a2.

Is there something that I am missing about these coefficients? Is there a reason to reverse the sign? I may well just be bad at math, but I feel like I have checked this a few different ways.

Thanks!

Using 2 ADIS16209 one for Rotate, one for tilt mounted perpendicular. When Tilt is rotated, it exceeds rated tolerance, is this correct?

$

We are using 2 ADIS16209 inclinometers one for rotation and one for tilt and they are mounted perpendicular to each other.  When the unit is rotated even within 30 degrees, the stated tolerance for accuracy is exceeded.  For example, as the unit is rotated, readings for tilt will start to display even though unit is not actually being tilted.  Is this normal or to be expected?

Inquiry of Quad DAC function

Hi All,

My customer considers the use of AD9144 or AD9154 in communication system.

She wants to independently transmit four different real signals to each of the four DACs of the device.

Is the above configuration possible for AD9144 or AD9154 ?

Thanks.

AD7280a Cell/AUX ADC value incorrect

$

We are developing a prototype of Li-ion[12Cell] Balancer using AD7280a for one of our customer.

Initially we used fixed resistors to generate cell voltage, so voltage on each cell wrt to lower cell is 1.80V

When reading cell/aux adc register, we see varying and incorrect values like 1558,687,0,3584,2078....

We tried using Li-ion cell stack and also tried by changing Cell1 fixed resistor to pot, but result is same.

I have attached the code and the schematic.

Re: HMC558A: use as biphase modulator?

Thank you for your feedback on the HMC558A. I did notice that the IF port can only source/sink 3mA (which is much lower than most double-balanced mixers).

Other than the IF port current limitation, is there any information on the mixer’s balun structures that relates to biphase modulator imbalance (i.e., amplitude and phase imbalance)? Operating the HMC558A as a biphase modulator with lower IF current would actually be helpful in simplifying the associated driver circuitry.

Hi,

My config :

- Zynq 7000-AP SoC mother board

- FCOMMS3 RF board

- IIO Scope.

OL Tx 5 GHz

DDS CW Tone ~1MHz

(screenshots attached)

Tx spectrum image attached.

Except the residual carrier and the image frequency, where do all other spurious come from ?

How to reduce them ?

Thanks
