Re: National Instruments ADI free software

Hi Dan,

First, Analog Devices would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Analog Devices wants to ensure that our models will function well in several industry standard tools. In order to enable that, we decided not to offer a free ADI Component Evaluator version beyond May 31st 2014.  The ADI Component Evaluator was always offered as a time limited version as indicated every time the application is launched.

SPICE simulation and the various tools which are used in the industry are unfortunately not typically compatible.  Beyond a common SPICE language at its core, each simulation tool has its own set of commands and functions for running specific simulations. Our model development was being tailored to work very well in NI Multisim, but not necessarily work within other environments.

Analog Devices has therefore decided to shift resources to develop models which will be more broadly accepted across many commercial and free simulation tool sets, including NI Multisim.  Models for our products will still be widely available through our website, and integrated directly into the libraries of popular simulation tools.

Sorry for any troubles/inconvenience this may have caused.
