Hi Poornima,
Thank you for your answer.
When the input format is “DTS-HD master audio” (using BITSTREAM output type in our player), there is a signal on I2S0 but it can’t be decoded by our DAC.
MCLK, LRCLK and SCLK clocks signals are all good.
Do we also have to use I2S1, I2S2 and I2S3 ?
Ans:For HD contents , yes. we need to use 4 I2S outputs. Please check with 4 I2S outputs.
==> Alright. I’ve check I2S1, I2S2 and I2S3 and there are signals on them too.
If we need to use the 4 I2S outputs with our DAC then we can’t since it only accept 1 I2S input.
Since we only want to use stereo sound, I thought we would have to use only 1 I2S output, so I think the problem is solved.
Btw, can you suggest me a DAC accepting 4 I2S input for HD contents ?
When the input format is “DOLBY TrueHD” (using BITSTREAM output type in our player), there is no signal on I2S0.
MCLK, LRCLK and SCLK clocks signals are all good.
Is it normal that there is nothing on I2S0?
Ans:Could you please check the EDID supports Dolby True HD and when set to PCM in player, is there is an output on I2S0?
==> For the EDID, I use the one from “ADV7612-VER.2.9c_AVEB“ :
##EDID##
:ADV7612 EDID 12 bit Video, DSD and HBR AUDIO Enabled:
I think it supports Dolby TrueHD since it’s writing “HBR AUDIO Enabled”
How can I check it for sure ?
When I set the output type to "PCM", we have a signal on I2S0, it can be decoded by our DAC and we have sound.
The only problem is when I use BITSTREAM.
Thank you.
