Hello Lionel,

 

The only way to reset the part
is a hard reset. The internal reset generator is looking at the DVDDOUT pin and
will generate the reset signal when power comes back up. So just lowering the
IOVDD will not generate the reset signal. Since the DVDD regulator is fed from
the AVDD you have to lower the AVDD and keep it low long enough for the caps on
the DVDDOUT pin to discharge.

 

Figure 29 in the datasheet does show the trip points for the POR.

 

Now, hidden in the datasheet is
the detail that you should probably leave the IOVDD up during this reset.
Because, I could see the situation where other parts in the system are still on
and sending digital signals to the ADAU1761. If IOVDD is lowered then it will
violate the maximums on those pins. The maximum voltage is set by the voltage
on IOVDD. So keep that on during reset and you should be fine.
