I have a bit of bad news. If I understand our software person correctly, Windows 8 forces us to use a different DLL with our eval software, and in turn, this forces us to (yet again) change what is stored in the USB EEPROM. Ordinarily, this would be bad enough, but the worse part is that we need a larger (but pin-compatible) EEPROM on the evaluation board. Needless to say, it wreaks havoc on the existing evaluation board inventory.
We're currently looking for a clever solution to get around this problem, but at this point, we don't have one.
