- Did some further investigation and saw that it appeared when the the DDS frequency is set to ~10MHz. When I reduced it to 1 MHz (same as the other channel), it disappeared! Looks like at higher DDS rates, the 12 bit ADC lines are being over driven and saturation logic if any is not functioning. From the pattern it looks like the overflowed signal is being sign extended! [Haven't done detailed analysis though].
- I did encounter the 2's compliment/offset binary problem though, in a dfferent context! in an attempt to get FMMCOMS2 to work with 2014.2, I recompiled and updated the kernel to the latest git version (on the new reg map branch or so). With that, when I use IIOScope, the waveform is displayed similar to the situation where offset binary data is interpreted as 2's compliment! Where do I correct this?
