Thank you for your ideas on future products.
1. Of the parameter list in burst mode reads the SUPPLY_OUT is (IMHO) the least useful parameter in the list. The gyro has a +/- 5% tolerance on Vcc and it is unlikely that any credible design would do so badly on the Vcc source as to ever trip those limits.
ADI: I tend to agree with you: a precision sensing system should not use a lousy supply voltage and it just isn't that hard to design for better tolerance than +/-5%. Having said that, these error flags were intended to help detect unexpected issues with the supply. For example, an accidental drop may expose a weak solder joint, which influences the accuracy of the reference in the supply's control loop.
2. The one missing parameter that would be extremely useful (IMHO) would be the DIAG-STAT word with the caveat that reading it in burst mode also cleared it.
ADI: I appreciate this feedback. I think that the ADIS16445 already does this, as it includes the DIAG_STAT register in each Burst Read, which erases all of its flags. For more information see page 11 and 15 of the ADIS16445 datasheet.
